Tucson Monastery to host Songs of Sweet Starlight - (01-12-2015)

< back

With Christmas quickly approaching, that means it’s time to welcome the Arizona Repertory Singers to the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration’s monastery in Tucson, Arizona.

The choral group will perform three concerts at the monastery as part of their Songs of Sweet Starlight series. Performances will be at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, and at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the monastery’s chapel.

The Sweet Sounds of Starlight will feature a variety of inspirational choral pieces by well-known composers from Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy to contemporary compositions by Eric Barnum, René Clausen and John Rutter.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here, from a member of the Arizona Repertory Singers or at the door before each performance. Seating is limited, so it is suggested those wishing to attend purchase tickets in advance or arrive early.

More information about the concert and the Arizona Repertory Singers can be found here.
