The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri, honored their lay employees during the annual Employee Dinner on Dec. 1. Employees in the departments of administration, the altar bread department, maintenance, kitchen, housekeeping and Our Lady of Rickenbach (OLR) healthcare facility were recognized.

Receiving honors for the most years of service was Larry Jensen, who has worked for the Benedictine Sisters for more than 37 years.

Twelve other lay employees have worked at least 20 years at the monastery in Clyde.

“It is with a grateful heart that we have this opportunity to greet you, to share a meal, share in prayer and in conversation,” Clyde Prioress Sister Rita Clair Dohn, OSB told those in attendance. “You know you are saints because that’s how we think of you.”

The dinner concluded with a special performance by Northwest Missouri State University’s Tower Choir in the Adoration Chapel.
