Seated on the couch, Sister Colleen Maura (left) and Sister Ruth Elaine are joined by Novice Amberina (in blue) and two of the Monastic Experience participants who joined the community for a weekend of exploration of religious life.
The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri, hosted a Monastic Experience July 18-20 for those interested in learning more about religious life.
“We hope their time with us offered both peace and insight into the beauty of religious life and the gentle stirrings of a vocational calling,” said Sister Nancy Rose Gucwa, OSB, vocation director. “It was a joy to share prayer, conversation and community with them. May what they discovered here – about themselves, about God and about our Benedictine way of life – continue to guide and bless them.”
The next Monastic Experience is scheduled for Oct. 17-19, 2025. Visit here to learn more.
