A gift of sacred art

Five women stand in a line. One is a Benedictine Sister. One of the women is holding a religious icon

Jan Evans (far right), great-niece of Sister Pia Imwinkelreid+, OSB, recently visited the monastery of the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri. Jan’s father, Luke Reid, worked for the Benedictine Sisters in the early 1930s. She was accompanied by iconographer Joan McDonough of Omaha, Nebraska, pictured with one of her icons, who graciously donated it to the community.

Joining them are (from left) Lori Wildhagen, Joan McDonough, Sister Colleen Maura McGrane, OSB, Nancy Vlach and Jan Evans.
