The beautiful stained glass windows represent some of the apostles and evangelists. The windows are the product of the Tyrolese Art Glass Company of Innsbruck, Austria. St. Petrus - Simon Peter was one of the twelve apostles who later founded the Church in Rome and became the first pope. He was a fisherman like his brother, Andrew. Jesus gave Peter the name Cephas, which means rock. He was present for many of Christ's major life moments, including the Transfiguration, the Agony in the Garden, the Last Supper and the Passion. Peter was crucified upside down on Vatican Hill in Rome around 66 A.D.
