The chapel’s breathtaking altar is situated in the Apse. The altar is made of white Carrara marble with pillars of onyx and Siena marble. The capital of each pillar is carved in graceful lines of leaf and fruit with the border designs and carvings of the entire chapel harmonizing with this same pattern.
