The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration recently hosted their first of two Summer Monastic Experiences.
At the Tucson, Arizona, monastery, three women joined the Benedictine Sisters in late May for a weeklong, residential program that introduced the monastic life.
The participants received daily input on prayer, monastic life and discernment, and had time for personal prayer and faith sharing. They experienced the "rhythm of prayer throughout the day, recreation and work," Vocation Director Sister Ruth Elaine Starman, OSB said. "They bring such a tremendous amount of energy and joy to the Sisters in community. This is an event we look forward to each year, and it is always an amazing time."
The Benedictine Sisters will host their second Summer Monastic Experience at their Clyde, Missouri, community July 20-27. There is no cost for the residential event. For more information, please visit the Vocations Page. |
