Sergio Legarreta, an avid woodworker and a student at Conception Seminary College, recently presented a beautiful cross to the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde.
Legarreta, who is from the Diocese of El Paso, Texas, is originally from Chihuahua, Mexico. When home over a short break, he - along with help from his younger brother - made the cross from a type of white cedar.
He presented the gift to Clyde Prioress Sister Rita Clair Dohn, OSB then took a moment to discuss his craftsmanship with Sister Ruth Elaine Starman, OSB who also enjoys woodworking as a hobby. |
