(CLYDE, Mo.) - The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri, will host a Come and See monastic weekend for women discerning a religious vocation. The event is scheduled for Friday, April 10, through Sunday, April 12.
Participants will enter into the rhythm of contemplative life, experience the time and place for listening to God, share with others who might also be discerning a religious vocation and ask vowed religious about monastic life.
Those who would like to participate should be single Catholic women between the ages of 18 and 45. The event is free for those participating, and there is no commitment involved to attend.
"When a woman is discerning a religious vocation, it is best to explore different communities, and a weekend like this offers a no-strings way to learn a bit about living as a Benedictine monastic," Vocation Director Sister Ruth Elaine Starman, OSB said. "There are many different types of religious life, and it takes time to find the right one that God is calling you to."
