Tower Choir, a student ensemble from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, gave a private performance for members and special guests of the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration on Thursday in Clyde, Missouri.
The choir, led by Dr. Stephen Town, has performed several concerts in the monastery’s Adoration Chapel over the years. Dr. Town remarked on the chapel’s amazing acoustics, something the students appreciated during the performance.
Tower Choir is embarking on its Spring Break Extended Tour, which includes several sites in Missouri, Alabama and Florida. Before appearing at the monastery, choir members performed on the Northwest campus and at a local school to gear up for their long road trip.
“You put a song into our ears and our hearts,” Clyde Prioress Sister Rita Clair Dohn, OSB said at the conclusion of the students’ performance. “We will pray for each of you every evening until your safe return.” |
