The event included presentations by Sister Aileen Bankemper, OSB of St. Walburg Monastery in Coventry, Kentucky, on Benedictine collaboration/labora for our times. Sister Michelle Sinkhorn, OSB from the Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana, provided an update on the grant that funds technological upgrades for communities, and Sister Suzanne Fitzmaurice, OSB of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas, shared a wide variety of ways to use technology to foster relationships across the nation and around the world.
“I love reconnecting with Sisters from other communities and hearing about their journeys thus far,” Sister Sophia said.
In addition to attending, Sister Sophia also served on the event’s planning committee. Members collaborated online multiple times and met face-to-face over the last two-and-a-half years.
“There was a lot of energy and good zeal present. I am glad I could be part of the planning process and see the fruits of the Spirit,” she said.
