The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration were thrilled to welcome Ron Mavity as the Congregation’s director of human resources this fall.

With more than 40 years of experience in personnel management and human resources management, Mavity brings a wealth of experience to the position. Much of his professional experience was garnered during his years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves.

“I manage the Sisters’ insurance needs, and this is a little different than what I was used to,” he said. “However, few adjustments were necessary as I feel like I’ve been adopted into a new family.”

Mavity and his wife, Kris, have three daughters and a son who’ve blessed them with 12 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Pittsburg State University in Kansas and has taken courses toward a master’s of business administration degree with an emphasis in economics at Northwest Missouri State University. Originally from Ottawa, Kansas, Ron and his wife live in Maryville, Missouri.

He is looking forward to learning more about the Benedictine Sisters and, personally, to complete the requirements for a pilot’s license in the future.
