Fifty years ago on Sept. 29, 1970, on the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, Archangels, Benedictine Sister of Perpetual Adoration Cathleen Marie Timberlake, OSB made her first profession of vows.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, friends and family members are unable to be at the monastery on this happy occasion. Sister Cathleen Marie will celebrate her jubilee at the same time next year, together with Sister Rita Clair Dohn, OSB whose own Golden Jubilee is in 2021. It will be a great day of deep gratitude when the Sisters can collectively thank God for calling them to the BSPA monastic community.
Sister Cathleen Marie, originally from Orange, California, is currently administrator of Our Lady of Rickenbach health care facility. She has served as subprioress, manager of the altar bread department, as a member of the General Council and as secretary general. Beginning with one crockpot, as the "Soap Sister," she produces a wide variety of soaps, lotions, lip balms and other products that are available through the Sisters' online store, Monastery Creations. |
