The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration has a full-time job opening for a LPN at Our Lady of Rickenbach, the Sisters’ health care facility, in Clyde, Missouri.

Full-time shift is 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Position includes the following benefits: health insurance after 60 days of employment, dental and vision after 90 days, PTO after six months, 403(b) retirement savings and employer contributions. Individual is required to stay current on licensing. The Benedictine Sisters pay 100 percent of medical and dental benefits (i.e. monthly premiums) for full-time employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Responsible to:

Nursing Administrator and Nursing Supervisor

Job Summary:

LPN will be required to work as Charge Nurse. Individuals must be licensed in the state of Missouri and be certified to administer an IV. Individuals must be able to fulfill all duties of Nursing Assistant as they will oversee the care given by other nursing staff. Must be willing to work every other weekend. LPN will be responsible for assessing the needs and conditions of each resident on shift. LPN will participate in daily care of Sister residents including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, feeding activities, oral care, toileting, changing bed linens and keeping Sister living areas clean and orderly.

Requirements:

License to practice nursing in the State of Missouri

Certified to administer an IV

Pass a drug screening test

Previous experience preferred

Skills to supervise a staff of two to ten

Multi-tasking skills

Assessment skills

Good communication skills: oral and written

Compassion toward the sick and elderly

Dependability

Flexibility

Capable of functioning coherently during an emergency or crisis situation

Lift without restrictions

Agile enough to bend, stoop and twist
