The future of Benedictine monastic life was the focus of a meeting of the Conference of Benedictine Prioresses held virtually in late January.
Prioress General Dawn Annette Mills, OSB of the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri, was in attendance. She joined 45 other Benedictine leaders in discussions and presentations.
Participants also enjoyed two days of spiritual input from Sister Maria Cimperman, RSCJ, associate professor at the Catholic Theological Union and director of the Center for the Study of Consecrated Life.
“Sister Maria is one of the women whom the Vatican has asked to be a part of the board to receive information on synodality,” Sister Dawn Annette said. “She talked about the future of consecrated life and how we can help prepare for it.” |
