The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri, have a job opening for a full-time receptionist. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Full-time employment includes the following benefits: health insurance after 60 days of employment, dental and vision after 90 days, PTO after six months, 403(b) retirement savings and employer contributions after one year, and optional AFLAC. The Benedictine Sisters pay 100 percent of medical and dental benefits (i.e. monthly premiums) for full-time employees.

Job Summary:

Receptionist is responsible for welcoming visitors at the front door of the monastery, answering and directing incoming phone calls, and taking care of gift shop customers and purchases. Starting wage: $15

Hours:

Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Receptionist is responsible to the Prioress and Sister Maria Victoria.

- Greet and welcome visitors who come to the Monastery and Gift Shop;

- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed;

- Answer questions about gift shop products, operate software, wrap and bag merchandise, handle cash or credit card transactions;

- Give tours of the chapel as requested; and

- Give youth tours.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proficient written and verbal communication skills;

- Must be able to walk, stand and listen for long periods of time;

- Professional appearance;

- High school graduate;

- Money handling skills, use of credit card reader and computer experience preferred;

- Courteous, friendly, positive attitude and good with people;

- Ability to maintain confidentiality;

- Must be good with children;

- Occasional office work such as sorting, filing, mailing; and

- Other duties assigned by supervisor.
