The Fifth World Congress of Benedictine Oblates held in Rome September 9-16, 2023, met for the purpose of learning, listening and discussing the future of Oblates and the Benedictine family as a whole.
More than 150 delegates were in attendance from countries around the world. Sharon Hammond, dean of the Benedictine Sisters’ Tucson (Arizona) Oblates, represented the Oblates of the congregation at the conferences, workshops and meetings, which took place at the Collegio Sant' Anselmo.
A surprise private audience with Pope Francis concluded the conference. The Benedictine Sisters extend their gratitude to Sharon for her gracious and generous response to this important event. |
